About Us:

We are the #1 Florida Home Inspection Company !!!

A&D Home Inspection is based on the belief that our customer's needs are of the utmost importance. We are committed to meeting your needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. So Thank You all for helping me build A&D Home Inspection.

Hello, my name is Darrell Thomas, I am 58 years old, married with three wonderful children. I started work in construction right out of high school. I already had experience from working with my father building homes and other jobs. I realized this is what I wanted to do for a career. So I headed off to college, Central State University, in Edmond Oklahoma. I got my basics out of the way then continued on to OSU, Oklahoma State University, where I studied Construction Management.

After college I worked for various construction companies, Residential Construction, Commercial Construction.

Now was the time for Thomas Construction. Business was ok but not great. Got the opportunity to move to the Bentonville, Arkansas area. Construction was booming there so I jumped at the chance.

Once in Arkansas I had to have an Arkansas Home Builders License and Contractors License.  I obtained these along with all the insurance requirements. Life was good. I started expanding into entry ways for subdivisions, log homes, and anything creative and challenging.

Then times started to change, with over 35 years experience in construction: I could see it coming. I shut the business down and took a job at the City of Gravette as the head of the building inspection department. I worked as the Building Inspector for many years. We moved back home to Oklahoma. A&D Home Inspection was created and I became an Licensed Home Inspector. I had a very successful business which we moved to St Cloud Florida. We cover most areas in Central Florida. Life is good in sunny Florida! I am a Certified Master Home Inspector. We do New home inspections, House Inspections, Four Point Insurance Inspections, Wind Mitigation Inspections. I look forward to seeing you. We are A&D Home Inspection Florida's #1 License Home inspector.

We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.

  •  National Home Inspectors Examination

The Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors is an independent not-for-profit organization. (EBPHI) holds that home inspector regulation intended to protect the public must require passage of a high-stakes examination to accurately and defensibly assess home inspector competence. The National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) is developed, maintained and administered according to accepted psychometric standards for a high-stakes, public protection examination.

The attention to detail in this exam, and the exhaustive studies and analysis of 1999, 2003 and again in 2008 ensures the National Home Inspectors Examination covers all home inspection job-related knowledge and skills. The examination also assesses competency in areas where lack of knowledge could cause harm to the public.

Twenty-nine states require passing a technical examination for home inspector licensing, and twenty-one of those states use the National Home Inspector Examination for this competence assessment. Eleven other states have some form of home inspector regulation and several others have legislation or regulation in development.

The National Home Inspectors Examination is the same standard test required for all ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors)members.

I know full well how much time went into this effort and The Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors are to be applauded for maintaining the high degree of integrity and professionalism in their efforts.

Covering fundamental issues such as conflicts of interest, good faith and perception of the public. Home inspection ethics are the central core of the home inspection professionalism for the entire industry.
